Time Is Still Marching On

Hello all. It's been a long time.  As in since October.  And to be fully honest, I didn't think I'd ever come back to blogging. Anyway, here I am, hello, nice to see you, does anyone have cake? In all seriousness, I'm not sure where this is going to end up - I may stick with blogging, I may not, I may completely change what I post about, I may not.  Like my life, it's all in limbo and requiring far too much thought.  Unlike my life, it's online. Just kidding. My life is mostly online, with homework and all. *coughs* So, I guess this post is to say that I'm back..?  But conditionally.  If things happen and I can't handle this, then it goes.  My mental, emotional, and physical health have to be my priorities right now, honestly.  I'll try to be more active with reading and commenting, but that's also conditional.  We'll see how this goes, y'all.  To be honest, I'm kind of terrified of it.  But running away from your fears...

Time is Marching On

See what I did there?  😊 Seriously, February has gone by very fast, even though each day moved fairly slowly.  I've done a lot of assignments, written a few short stories, and stayed alive.  That's always a good thing for me.  Also, I've been meaning to post more these past few weeks, but I have had no time - and I've been out of town.  Please accept these excuses and don't yell at me too much. Writing : Three short stories, for class.  I do like them, as rough drafts.  One is a romantic comedy in which four people die.  I didn't intend to kill them off, it just kind of . . . happened. That's about it, unfortunately.  Oh, unless you count the sonnet I wrote for another class.  With the additional writing this semester, I haven't even touched my WIPs recently.   Reading : The Spinner and the Slipper by Camryn Lockhart Perelandra by C.S. Lewis The Evaporation of Sofi Snow by Mary Weber Pride and Prejudice by Jane ...

It's February!

February! by Brianna Stacyn First of all, yes, I know this is late.  However, between homework, classes, and feeling as though I'd been run over by a truck, it's been a little difficult to write this.  😉 So, what's happened this past month?  Well, let's see. I haven't done a whole lot of reading, mainly because class reading takes up my time.  I do, however, get to reread Pride and Prejudice for class, so that's pretty great! Ditto for writing - it's all been classwork.  This month, I've learned how to write poetry in several different styles, and that's been really amazing. I got sick. Okay, fine, it's not that bad.  😊  I'm definitely recovering, but it was a bit rough for a few days.  And I still can't shake the cough, unfortunately.   A few things I've learned this past month (in no particular order): Don't mention the fact that your fingers have gone numb, especially when you're sitting ...
